Sanne Ree Barthels designed three ‘intimate contact settings’ to connect with older women with Alzheimer.
Some women can still knit because their hands remember how to. She has also made a baking ‘unit’ where the smell of apples, cinnamon and the baking process evokes memories of making apple-pies and sometimes childhood or just a happy feeling. Sitting in a hairdressers chair where washing and waving brings other memories and feelings to the surface.
A very touching work. In the videos at each subject you can be part of the intimate sessions.
